Interior

Bon-Appetit Photography is a photography studio set inside a three-story building from 1982 in Hsinchu city, Taiwan. Because light is essential for photo shooting, the facade was rebuilt with glass bricks to invite natural daylight into the narrow interior. Indoors, cement hollow bricks contrast with the glass bricks, joining old and new materials. The existing marble flooring and wood-framed folding windows were preserved, while walls and ceilings were refinished with terrazzo and particle boards. At night, the lit interior shares light with passers-by through the glass brick wall.
