Unesco Ancient Theatre Revitalization Cultural Facility
Unesco Ancient Theatre Revitalization Cultural Facility
This project reactivates an ancient open air theatre through adaptive reuse, preserving its archaeological heritage while transforming it into an inclusive civic landmark. A lightweight tensile roof filters daylight and moderates the microclimate for year round use. Strategic roof openings and circulation promote natural ventilation and passive cooling. The design balances preservation with contemporary intervention, creating flexible spaces for performance and community life with minimal physical impact, reconnecting the site to its urban context and supporting sustainable revitalization.
